A BIG weird dream of Saudi Arabia

It's a dream of 500 billion dollars, a dream to create one of the most technologically advanced and naturally sustained cities in the world. The previews of building the city "Neom" with the above characteristics are seen to be a bit too futuristic. The company was founded by the Saudi Crown Prince: Mohammad bin Salman in January 2019. With the goal of finishing the building of the first section by 2025, the city offers revolutionary changes in almost every field of human interaction such as health, transportation, energy, education, future tech and much more.

The Neom project is located in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia in the northwest of the kingdom, extending along with Aqaba Gulf and 468 km of coastline with beaches and coral reefs, as well as mountains up to 2,500 m high, with a total area of around 26,500 sq. km.

The project is set to be a huge plot of investment, though has some controversies surrounding it.

A dispute over oil risks causing irreparable harm to US relations with Saudi Arabia, a crucial partner for Washington in the Middle East.
